AREAS OF INTEREST, EXPERTISE AND RESEARCH
Area of Interest
• Primary focus on Human papillomavirus (HPV) and respiratory RNA viruses, with emphasis on viral pathogenesis and host-virus interactions, by utilizing integrated multi-OMICS approaches. • Advancing antiviral development through host-targeted antivirals by leveraging multi-OMICS data and cutting-edge technologies to support translational research.
Area of Expertise
• Study molecular interactions between viruses and their hosts that drive acute and chronic infections and pathogenicity. • Development of high-throughput antiviral screening platforms for therapeutic discovery. • Biocontainment operations and biosafety practices for infectious disease research.
Area of Research
• Understanding HPV-driven metabolic reprogramming that supports viral persistence, immune evasion, and oncogenic transformation. • Developing advanced antiviral strategies with RNA interference (RNAi) to specifically target viral genes and crucial host dependency factors.
