Structured Tailoring for Blazers: Techniques and Fabrication

The Department of Design, MSAP, MAHE conducted a three-day workshop titled “Structured Tailoring for Blazers: Techniques and Fabrication” from 7th to 9th March at the PMST Lab.

The session was led by Mr. Bhupathi R., Assistant Manager – Pattern & Sampling at Silver Spark Apparel Ltd. (Raymond Group), bringing valuable industry expertise in premium menswear tailoring.

The workshop provided hands-on training in blazer pattern drafting, structured tailoring techniques, fabrication, fitting, and finishing. Through an intensive, practice-oriented approach, students gained exposure to industry-standard methods, enhancing their technical skills and craftsmanship. 

Aligned with SDG 4 – Quality Education, the program emphasized skill-based learning and employability, preparing students to meet contemporary apparel industry standards.
