Design Process Workshop

An IQAC Initiative

January 16, 2026

The Department of Design at MSAP organized a Design Process Workshop on 16th January 2026 for first-year B.Des Fashion Design students, as part of the Design Process course. The session was led by Ms. Anwesha Mukherjee, Practicing Designer and Strategist, who brought valuable industry insights into the learning experience.

The workshop focused on introducing students to fundamental design thinking practices, including brainstorming, ideation, and concept development. Through structured exercises, students explored creative approaches to problem-solving and translated their ideas into simple tangible products, enhancing their understanding of the early stages of the design process.

Students actively engaged in collaborative discussions, idea generation, and peer feedback, which helped strengthen their confidence in creative thinking and iterative design development. The session successfully fostered essential skills required for design exploration while aligning with SDG 4: Quality Education.
