Guest lecture and Hands on workshop on MSE expansion and bone screws

On Thursday the 2nd of February, the department of Orthodontics organized a  guest lecture and hands-on workshop on MSE expansion and bone screws. The resource person, Dr. Rajesh Patil, who practices in Mumbai, discussed Bone screw selection, materials composition, ideal insertion sites, insertion techniques of IZC screws and buccal shelf implants, and the laboratory fabrication of MSE expander screws as well as activation in different age groups. Dr. Patil also showcased his cases treated with the technique.

A workshop was organized in the post-lunch session to focus and deliberate on the insertion of IZC screws and buccal shelf implants in 3D models of the maxilla and the mandible.
