SPECTRUM ’18

Education is to Ignite flame. When teachers burn with passion,the desire to learn will be ignited in the student’s heart and when teachers guide students with beauty and passion, creativity of students will leap up like a bright flame. In this regards, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics organized a full day continuing dental education program SPECTRUM on 22nd February at MCODS Manipal. Dr Keerthilatha M Pai, Dean,MCODS, Manipal was the chief guest and inaugurated the program.

Dr Ritul Agarwal a proud alumnus of MCODS Manipal who is currently a practicing prosthodontist and Implantologist at Dubai spoke in detail about Membership exam for Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He gave practical tips and shared his experience on how he went through the examinations. It was well appreciated by the young aspiring postgraduates and faculty members.

Dr Kundabala M, Professor, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, MCODS, Mangalore was another resource person who spoke on “Biodentine – Is it a boon to an Endodontist”. She showed the manipulation and handling of the Biodentine and also demonstrated the apexification procedure on an extracted tooth.

Approximately 75 participants from the college and neighboring colleges appreciated the program and gave excellent feedback. The entire program was sponsored by Indian Dental Association (Manipal Branch) and Septodont .
