Alumni engagement Guest Lecture Series

An alumni guest lecture was arranged by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecological (OBG) Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), MAHE, Manipal for the UG and PG nursing students on 19th November 2021 through blended mode. The resource person was Dr Padmapriya, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecological (OBG) Nursing, Yenepoya College of Nursing (Alumnus of MCON, MAHE, Manipal - MPhil 2008-2010 batch) deliberated a session on “Quality newborn care.” She emphasized on collaborative sessions between health care professionals for improving the maternity services and to develop confidence in managing perinatal services. Also, she highlighted on “POINTS” i.e. on pain management, optimal oxygenation infection control, nutrition and temperature management of all the newborns. A total of 50 participants attended the session (22 students attended offline and 28 participants attended online through MS teams).
