The health and social welfare committee of the Student Nurses’ Association organized a visit to ‘Ashraya,’ Dr. A.V. Baliga, home for senior citizens at Brahmavar, on 19th October 2019 from 10:30 am to 12 noon. The aim of this visit was to engage inmates with activities and to have interaction and fun.

Students gave a message of hope through a role-play and encouraged them to be physically active and maintain self-health. Entertained them with various activities, and they were encouraged to sing and play an instrument.

There were 27 inmates. Students and the faculty interacted with elderly, listened to them and made them feel involved in the group. A total of 21 students and three faculty from Manipal College of Nursing participated in this event.
