MPH Programme, Department of Health Policy, Prasanna School of Public Health, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal organized a Workshop on "Advancing People’s Health in Karnataka: Vision for Progress: Continuing Public Health Education on Implementation Strategies to Execute the Vision” on October 21, 2022.
Dr Prashant Bhat (District Vector Borne Disease Control Officer, Udupi District), Dr Narayana Holla V (Visiting Professor Emeritus, KVGMCH [KVG Medical College and Hospital] Sullia, Resource Person of Jeevaraksha [RGUHS {Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences}] – Training for ECLS [Emergency Care and Life Support] and BCLS [Basic Cardiac Life Support]), Mr Vamsi Krishna B (Assistant Director, Education and E-Learning Programme, Institute of Public Health, Bengaluru) were the resource persons for the Workshop.
Dr Prashant Bhat who gave insight into the Rationale for Karnataka’s Vision for the Public Health sector and enlightened the audience with Essential Public health Services which are available in Karnataka state and Dr Narayana Holla who spoke about the role of stakeholders who are all responsible for the creation of a well-organized public health sector and described the strategies to improve the intersectoral and intra-departmental flow of information to upgrade the existing system in the health sector.
