Department of Periodontology organized a demonstration of LASER “MAGIC WAND FOR DENTITRY” for the postgraduate students. It was held on the 27th September 2019, from 9.30 AM at lecture hall 2, Attavar. The demonstration was given by Dr Anand, who is the product specialist at Dentsply. Dr Anand explained the working of the LASER unit which was of the Diode LASER with a wavelength of 445nm. Demonstration of the use of the LASER was given on goat mandible, and all the participants hand an hands on experience on using the LASER unit. It was attended by around 30 post graduate students from the departments of Pedodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Oral medicine and radiology and Periodontology. Dr Swati, Associate Professor was the coordinator for the same.
