The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in association with the MCODS Mangalore Orthodontic Alumni Association successfully conducted the first “Dr. V Surendra Shetty – Dr. Subraya Mogra Endowment Lecture” on 5th July, 2019. The resource person was Dr. N.R. Krishnaswamy, a well renowned clinician and academician, currently serving as Head of Department of Orthodontics, Ragas Dental College, Chennai. The inaugural program was graced by Dr. V. Surendra Shetty, PRO VC, MAHE, Dilip G. Naik, Dean, MCODS, Mangalore, Associate Deans Dr. Ashita Uppoor and Dr. Premlatha Shetty and several eminent alumni from various institutions across the country. The lecture discussed the various treatment alternatives for correcting malocclusions in the transverse dimension. There were 117 participants which included both post graduate students as well as faculty. Dr. N.R. Krishnaswamy shared with us his vast knowledge and valuable insights in order to improve treatment outcomes. The lecture was highly appreciated and was a very good learning experience for all.
