The last PACE meeting was held on 13th November 2024 at 6:00 PM, moderated by Dr. Iccha and attended by 15 participants. The session featured Dr. Ankuchan Shrestha as the presenter, who delivered an engaging lecture on the topic "Harnessing Lasers in Oral Medicine." Dr. Shrestha's presentation provided comprehensive insights into the principles of lasers, offering an overview of their functioning and detailed explanations of laser-tissue interaction. The session also explored the mechanism of pain relief with lasers, the classification and parameters of various laser types, and case discussions highlighting clinical applications of lasers in oral medicine and radiology (OMR). Additionally, the discussion balanced the advantages and disadvantages of using lasers in oral medicine, concluding with an emphasis on the importance of laser safety protocols.
