A guest lecture was organised by the Institutional Ethics Committee, MCODS, Mangalore in association with Vertical related to Faculty research, Doctoral research & Ethics and regulations vertical on the topic “Ethical issues during the conduct of academic research” by Dr Rajeshkrishna Bhandhary, Member Secretary, KMC, KH Ethics Committee, Manipal; Chair – Ethics and Regulations Verticals, KMC, Manipal; Associate Professor, Dept of Psychiatry, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal on 10^th November, 2023. As a part of sensitization of the IEC members, the talk also covered issues related to “Novel delivery methods for drugs and devices; Consent for biological materials (extracted tooth); Randomized controlled trial – Academic trials”. The talk was attended by all ethics committee members at MCODS, Mangalore.
